Thank You for an Unforgettable Mother’s Day On behalf of Toy Drive ‘N Events, Inc. May 3rd was more than just a date — it was a day of love, healing, and empowerment. Thanks to your incredible support, we hosted our Second Annual Mother’s Day Luncheon and celebrated 24 brave moms, all survivors of domestic violence and sexual abuse. These extraordinary women were treated to beautiful summer dresses, a delicious lunch, uplifting activities, and most importantly — the gift of feeling seen, supported, and appreciated. As a small, community-driven nonprofit, we couldn’t have done this without YOU. Your donations, time, and encouragement turned hope into action and helped create a safe, joyful space for healing. Many ask how we do it with full-time jobs, no staff, no salaries. The answer? Passion and purpose. We love helping children and families in need. Every detail was budgeted—from dresses, décor, venue, food, to gifts—thanks to your kind donations. We spent an average of $100 per mom and $70.58 per person for 34 attendees. Ross honored a 10% discount (thank you senior perk!) and @caprihomestead gave us an unbeatable price, service, and beautiful space. Highly recommend! Our hearts are full. Full of gratitude. Full of emotion. And full of admiration for these moms who continue to rise, every single day. Many are in therapy, seeking healing and support. Although they looked radiant, many are still broken inside. What we gave them was hope, love, and a reminder that they matter.
